The Lake

She was built between the years 1935-1940 for a hydroelectric
reservoir to power the greenwood area. Fed by two rivers the Saluda and Reedy to the north the dam is approximately 22-miles long to the south with many creeks in-between. She has 212-miles of shoreline and sits on 11,400 acres of land. Lake Greenwood is used for recreational boating and fishing.
